The Penfield Players are celebrating our 60th year with a Winter Readers' Theatre/Dramatic Reading show about Love on Valentine's Day Weekend.
This "Season of Love" show will feature one-acts by 10 Rochester area playwrights all about love; sweet, romantic, lost, familial, and/or broken.

Just don't have the bandwidth to commit to a full production schedule?
Then a role in this is just what you're looking for!!!
Auditions will be cold readings of provided sides. Please bring a copy of your acting resume, schedule conflicts, and head shot if available.
Rehearsals will be scheduled with the directors after casting.
Show dates:
Saturday, February, 28th at 2:00 PM
Sunday, March, 1st at 2:00 PM
​OPTIONAL VIDEO AUDITIONS:
If you cannot make auditions on Sunday and wish to submit a video audition, please submit to PlaySelectionCommittee@penfieldplayers.org no later than Monday, February 16th at 9:00 PM. (late submissions may not be seen before final considerations).
The contents of your video should include the following:
1. Slate your video stating your name and the roles you are auditioning for (eg. "Jane Doe reading for 'Jezebel'").
2. Performance of ONE character from EACH of the two scripts in the folder shared HERE.
3. Please have someone read off-camera with you (do not read a two-person scene by yourself as both characters).
4. Remember to keep the frame close enough to be able to see emotions (shots from the waist up are ideal).

1. Lucia - 20s, Female presenting, any ethnicity, keeps a Tide-to-go stick on her at all times. Chronic watch-checker. Plans ahead.
2. Mollie - 20s, Female presenting, any ethnicity, prefers to do at least three things at once. Glee-enthusiast. Always late.
3. “Girl” - Any age, Female presenting, any ethnicity, A temptress, possibly the embodiment of a previous relationship
4. “Guy” - Any age, Male presenting, any ethnicity, on his way to a café to meet someone. Trying to leave his past behind.
5. Barry - Any age, Male presenting, any ethnicity, friendly, a bit impulsive
6. Matilda - Any age, Female presenting, any ethnicity, friendly, a bit apprehensive
7. Bill - 50+, Male presenting, any ethnicity, divorced and trying to figure out dating later in life
8. Casey - Any age, any gender, any ethnicity, dating service employee, cheerful customer service rep
9. Elizabeth - 50+, Female presenting, any ethnicity, single, spiritual, and a little pretentious, customer of the dating service
10. Margo - 50+, Female presenting, any ethnicity, twice-divorced, single, and old hat at dating services
11. Sarah Lynn - 50+, Female presenting, any ethnicity, single, down-to-earth, honest, easy going, customer of the dating service
12. “A” - Any age, Male presenting, any ethnicity, wears a tuxedo, swears he met a woman a year before
13. “B” - Any age, Female presenting, any ethnicity, wears a white, feathery dress, insists she doesn’t remember a man from last year
14. Laura - 50+, Female presenting, any ethnicity, married to Marcus, a bit of a worrier
15. Marcus - 50+, Male presenting, any ethnicity, married to Laura, tired but trying to quell worry with humor and food
16. Cynthia - 50+, Female presenting, any ethnicity, packing for a vacation trip, mother of Paul, concerned about making her flight on-time
17. Paul - 20s, Male presenting, any ethnicity, packing for a business trip, son of Cynthia, critical of her last-minute re-packing
18. “Man” - Any age, Male presenting, any ethnicity, defensive and angry about “Woman’s” accusations
19. “Woman” - Any age, Female presenting, any ethnicity, stressed and upset with “Man”, speaks to the audience
20. Fairah Godmother - Any age (preferably 50+), Female presenting or non-binary, any ethnicity, scintillating sorceress
21. Lady Ptomaine - Any age (preferably 50+), Female presenting or non-binary, any ethnicity, vitriolic vixen
22. Ada - 50+, Female presenting, any ethnicity, a Southerner, hides her fears with sarcasm
23. Maddie - 50+, Female presenting, any ethnicity, a Southerner, Ada’s younger sister, an optimist
