Each month, the Penfield Players honor a volunteer to our organization that has made a particular contribution to our mission of ordinary people helping produce extraordinary theatre.

Kathy Mauldin not only turned in a (literally) award-winning performance in our spring melodrama, A Fate Worse Than Death, she also took on the role of costumer for the show, tracking down the many costumes needed to put a large cast in period clothing.

Garda Houston
May 2008

Garda Houston once again played the near-thankless role of House Manager for our spring melodrama, A Fate Worse Than Death. A Penfield Player of long standing, Garda not only set up a friendly, comfortable environment for our audience, she also made them coffee!
